On a cold night in January 2020, 10 like-minded beer loving Blantyre dads formed the Blantyre Collective. This group’s first mission was to make great beer for substantially less than retail. We fulfilled that mandate with an investment in some of the best home-brewing equipment we could buy, and created the Blantyre Brewing Co.
As a collective we’ve made some amazing beer (in addition to cider and seltzer) and have become great home brewers by refining an established process. We’re now ready to expand our ranks and are accepting applications for membership.
If you’re a Blantyre parent, and you’ve ever considered homebrewing, this is a great way to get started.
Interested in trying out homebrewing but don't know where to start? Joining a club is an easy way to get access to top notch equipment and the collective knowledge of the group.
Brew what you like, when and where you like, and as often as you want. Share with friends, family or trade with other homebrewers.
The biggest benefit is the cost savings. Not factoring in your time, homebrewing can cut your cost per beer down to a dollar or less. That's a substantial savings over retail.
Ultimately, brewing is fun. Sure, there's some cleaning involved, but there's something satisfying about enjoying a beer you made yourself...as long as it tastes good!
Membership costs $150/year and includes:
• Access to our homebrewing equipment
• Access to our knowledgebase
• An onboarding brew with a founding member
• A Blantyre Brewing Co. t-shirt
You supply the brewing ingredients (we'll help you with that), a fermenting vessel (carboy), and bottles. Book a time in our shared calendar, and the brew day is yours!
If you have any questions, get in touch with our Club Chairman at chairman@blantyrecollective.com
If this all sounds like something you're interested in (or you're interesting in membership as a gift), fill out our application form. Membership is subject to approval by the board, and only available to Blantyre parents and residents.
